My name is David Wright,

I have been in the construction industry for over 30 years. Starting out as carpenter and working on the tooIs for over 10 years, I then progressed to being a site manager. It was never enough for me to know how to perform a given task, I needed to know why, what was the reasoning behind it; what made it the standard to be measured by. So I went back into education and studied to gain an HND level 4 Diploma in site management.

Over the past 19 years I have project managed both large housing estates in the south west and bespoke luxury homes in the Cotswold’s, each with a market sale value up to £2 million.

In 2013 I became a member of The Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI). Inspections and quality assurance have always played a major part in both my trade and management roles, however, gaining the recognition from the institute then made it possible for me to pursue a career in construction & property inspection. In doing so I feel I have been able to make a real difference on site during the entire construction process, including the final stages when a building plot overnight becomes a family home.

Providing purchasers of new homes with my inspection service is something I take great pride in. The knowledge and experience I have of this industry adequately qualifies me to assure the new home buyer to have confidence in what they have financially committed to, while making sure to record and highlight items that are less than acceptable when measured against the applicable building regulations, standards and specifications for the quality of your new home.

To provide fairness to both the purchaser and the developer, the New Homes Quality Board 2022, has set out the guidelines on how all independent quality inspections are to be conducted.

This is why the type of report that we produce is one the house developer must action. As both parties are working to the same guidelines to achieve a common goal:- Quality Assurance for you the purchaser.
